one of my favorite summer pictures-july 4th at the cabin with my sisters.one of my favorite days of the year is fast approaching-july 4th. i know, i know, i am canadian, and definitely NOT american, but july 4th i will admit, i absolutely adore. not because of the actual independence of america, but because of our special july 4th weekend tradition: we go to our little slice of heaven on earth-the cabin in point roberts.
this place is not only special because of the geography, but because of the people that end up there-my family, the greenwoods, and anyone else crazy enough to have stuck around our crazy families all these years.
so we'll pack up our beach bags, and our overnight bags and head down to the cabin next weekend to celebrate. not celebrate independence, but celebrate being together again, as one more july 4th comes and goes.
ahh, summer. you're finally here, and i couldn't be happier.
